Of the medals won by Turkish athletes, one gold and one silver were won by boxers, one more gold by archers, one more silver and three bronzes by karate fighters, three bronzes by wrestlers, two bronzes by taekwondists and one bronze by a gymnast.

Thus, Turkey has broken its own record for the number of medals. At the 1948 London Olympics, Turkey won 12 medals.

Turkey has 104 Olympic medals

The number of Turkish Olympic medals for the entire history of participation in the sporting event has reached 104.

Turkey was first represented at the Olympic Games in London in 1908. Before Tokyo 2020, Turkey had 91 Olympic medals in six sports: 39 gold, 25 silver and 27 bronze. With 13 medals in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Turkey has increased its medal count to 104. Of these, 41 are gold, 27 silver and 36 bronze medals.
